Gavin Connop

Managing Director &

Façade Consultant

Gavin began his career in 1989 working as a trainee designer, gaining valuable experience within the curtain walling & window industry.

Gavin furthered his career working for façade contractors, developing his design abilities.

 

In 2001, Gavin joined Parry Bowen as a Senior Designer, working on curtain walling, windows & cladding projects valued between £1m & £15m and became a key part of the design and development of bespoke unitised systems within the business, which were incorporated within the Schuco standard range and have since been further developed.

 

He progressed over the next 9 years with Parry Bowen to become Design Office Manager, overseeing the design and technical engineering elements of every project within the business.

 

With further experience gained though Astec Projects, Prater Ltd and a Technical Directors position as LSC Facades, Gavin has brought a wide range of experience, knowledge and abilities before joining NET PMC Ltd in 2016 as a Façade Consultant.

 

Following joining NET PMC Ltd, Gavin’s facade consultancy experience expanded dramatically, covering all aspects of the Façade Consultants scope, working on specialised packages from £50k to £30 million gaining practical working knowledge of all facade engineered constructions such as stick & unitised curtain walling, glass and glazing as well as glass, aluminium & stone rainscreen cladding, pre-cast concrete, GRC, stone cladding, windows, doors, brise soliel & louvres.

 

Gavin is always keeping up to date with developments published by Centre for Windows and Cladding Technology (CWCT) along with the British Standards Institute BSI to ensure that he has up to date product knowledge and industry developments are utilised, which ensures the service offered is of the highest possible professional standard.

 

Gavin’s ethos is to ensure that an up to date product knowledge and industry developments are maintained and utilised, which ensures that a high level of professional service is offered throughout each project.

ONC Building Studies

CWCT Courses for Thermal & Moisture Performance and Acoustics.

CPD’s in various rainscreen cladding products as well as automated door systems & weather membranes.

CDM regulations for Design Managers

Currently completing MSc degree course in Façade Engineering

Jonathan Hird

Façade Consultant

Jonathan began his career in 2008 at Norking Aluminium Limited, where he was employed as a Façade Structural Engineer.  In 2013 Jonathan then joined NET PMC LTD in the same role, however, his knowledge and abilities have grown over the past 7 years.

 

During his time at NET PMC Ltd, Jonathan gained experience in assisting with writing of performance specification, design justification including façade structural and thermal calculations, design reviews, site inspections & condition surveys as well as off-site performance test witnessing and on-site workmanship test witnessing.

 

Jonathan is always keeping up to date with developments published by Centre for Windows and Cladding Technology (CWCT) along with the British Standards Institute BSI to ensure that he has up to date product knowledge and industry developments are utilised, which ensures the service offered is of the highest possible professional standard.
